Finally, Doom Eternal is here, and it is going to be a fascinating PC game for the gamers. However, most of the players can be upset because of the high requirements of this game. Eternal is highly optimized. PC-gamer has tested the performance with different equipment, and surprisingly, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650, which is a $150 graphics card, is placed at the bottom of their test. This graphics card managed to launch Doom Eternal at 1080p and 60fps. Can you imagine that?
In case of VRAM, I would ask you to use minimum 8GB to include all the visual bells. You have to be choosy with the settings. PC-gamers ran Doom Eternal on the GTX 1650 with all maximum settings, without the texture pool size and shadow quality, because these two depends of the features of VRAM. After setting everything to “high”, the GTX 1650 had 75 fps.
What about the lowest configuration then? What is the minimum requirement? Well, Nvidia’s $150 entry level card is the lowest, and at this settings, your fps will be ridiculously in hurry. If you are thinking about AMD’s Radeon RX 580, then it has a major benefit. It an manage 105 fps, while expensive cards such as RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti are more suitable for 4K performance.
GTX 1650 though cleared 60 fps, the PC-gamers saw some dips to 55 fps when some intense moments arrive. If you want to run this game with flawless 1080p, 60 fps experience, then it will be better to use GTX 1660 or 1660 Ti. It will give you an overall idea how Doom Eternal will run on your system.
If you are thinking about using laptops for playing this game, then I would suggest you to use MSI GF65 Thin, and grab the Intel Core i7-9750H, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, 512 GB SSD, and 120 Hz display. Update your settings to play this amazing game.
