According to the source, Reddit Co-founder Alexis Ohanian has resigned from his own firm’s board Reddit on Friday and urges the company to fill his seat with a black candidate.
Reddit’s board is currently all white with three men and one woman.
Ohanian decided to quit his job after the rage against the killing of 46-year-old American George Floyd took place in Minneapolis on May 25 after white police knelt over George Floyd for around nine minutes.
After this case, Ohanian made a series of tweets on Friday and said “as a father who needs to be able to answer his black daughter when she asks: ‘What did you do?’.
Reddit is a San Francisco based website. Reddit focuses on Social news, web content rating and it’s a discussion website, With millions of users they call itself “the front page of the internet”.

Ohanian had co-founded Reddit in 2005 with his friend Steve Huffman and he said that in addition to resigning he will donate his future gains on his Reddit stock to help the black community out there. In a statement CEO Huffman also promised to fill the Reddits board with a black candidate and in addition to that, he will change and update the company rules against hate and racism.
Ohanian also pledged that he would donate $1 million to a rights camp Kaepernick’s your rights camp. An organization that aims to provide and inform people about their rights when interacting with law enforcement.
A 37-year-old tech entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian is the husband of legendary tennis star Serena Williams, they both had married three years ago.
