Businesses in New York City
The businesses in New York City are not properly representing their pre-pandemic operations. For example, the fashion designers are now sewing face masks rather than sewing garments, the restaurants have already transformed into the grocery stores, while the distilleries are now creating alcohol, which is so strong that people can’t drink it.
Kings County Distillery in the Brooklyn is one of these businesses, and it started making hand sanitizer right after the federal regulators gave the OK signal.
Business Owners and Their Business Patterns
Colin Spoelman, the distillery’s co-founder, said that they had been playing around with the plan of doing that and that had tasted too bad for a while. Colin added that all the things suddenly had become so serious that in fact, the people became serious about that in a way, which that had been so clear and be quite helpful.
To meet the medical standards, the distillery needed to make higher-proof alcohol than whiskey, which they used to produce. He added that that indicated the changing of the distilling process and slowing that down.
According to Colin, Kings County produced around 1000 bottles of hand sanitizer in the first batch and even sold them within four hours. In addition to creating hand sanitizer, Kings Country also has begun selling whiskey online recently.
Businesses in New York City and these business owners have been indicating that the demand has already changed during this COVID-19 crisis and finding out ways to shift their business patterns along with the situation.
For a lot of New York citizens, it is a feeling that reminds them 9/11, when the whole city was thrust into a newer reality as well as neighbours worked to find out how to assist one another. This time, the citizens are trying to rebuild from a safe distance apart.
