Samsung is a company which reveals products that are used by millions and millions of customers around the world. Therefore, it also has to worry about innovation at the cost of losing sales as things might go wrong as well. In the latest innovation that has gone commercial for Samsung, the company has released its latest version of the portable SSD named as T7 Touch. Now, the last version of Samsung’s portable SSD was the T5. However, this version has touch added to its name because of one major upgrade.
While there is no touch functionality on this SSD and why would you need one, Samsung has instead included a fingerprint reader on this storage device for security as revealed by the company. This means that it acts as a way of authorization so that no unauthorized access is possible. Also, the fact that this is an upgraded version of Samsung’s T5 SSD which was already fast means that this one will be even faster. And that is exactly the case as Samsung’s T7 Touch SSD comes with an advertised read/write speed of 1GB/s.
Similar to last year, the Samsung T7 Touch still is the size of a business card only but it has gotten a bit thicker as the fingerprint reader has been added along with a USB Type-C port which was already there on last year’s T5 too. On the other hand, it is still lightweight which means you can carry it around with you without even noticing that it is there. Also, people have started to use an SSD for remote work as well so you can do that. Also, if your laptop supports Thunderbolt speeds than this SSD could transfer your files in a matter of seconds. As for the price, Samsung’s T7 Touch starts at $129 for the 500GB variant while the 2TB variant goes for $400.
