A ransomware gang named evil Corp is back in Action with a new Ransomware, Being grounded for an undetermined period of time, The group is back in action with a new Ransomware named it as WatedLocker.
Behind the Evil Corp
Evil Corp is a cybercriminal group basically based on Russia. The group has been active and rose its popularity since 2007 and was targeting US firms. The Corp is led by Makism Yakubets.
They demand millions of dollars as ransom and they are reputed for having stolen about 100 of millions from the large US firms and from banks and financial institutions in at least 40 countries.
The cybercriminal group rose to popularity after they developed the Dridex and Bitpaymer ransomware. From the get-go, Evil Corp Group has changed their virtual identity numerous times in order to stay undetected.

WastedLocker: New production
The all-new malware developed by Evil Corp is WastedLocker which aims to encrypt the files of the infected host. Though it does not have anything in common with its precedent Bitpaymer. The new ransomware WastedLocker has been labeled as a threat to all the users by cybersecurity officials due to its connection to the vicious Evil Group.
