Google Assistant has been integrated into many smart android Televisions nowadays but with a dedicated button on the remote. Now a new report states that the voice match integration code has been spotted for the latest Android Television.
This would allow multiple users to personalize their results accordingly. Until now Google only used to show the recommendations and the results accordingly whose user Id
Is logged in. As of now, it is still unclear if the upcoming feature would be available on the upcoming smart televisions or not.
The voice match feature would allow multiple users to get personalized results when they would be using Google Assistant search. This string of code suggests the feature has been integrated into the Google search App. According to a report by 9to5Google, the APK teardown of Google Assistant contains a code that indicates the Voice Match feature for Android TV. This would help to log into your Netflix account accessing Spotify playlists and other personalized search queries.
The string of code found in the latest Google Search app
<string name=”voice_match_setup_screen_title”>Activate Voice Match on this TV</string>
<string name=”voice_match_setup_screen_description_1″>” Your Assistant can already recognize you by your voice and tell you apart from others.
Voice Match allows your Assistant to identify you and tell you apart from others. The Assistant takes clips of your voice to form a unique voice model, which is only stored on your device(s). Your voice model may be sent temporarily to Google to better identify your voice.
If you decide later that Voice Match isn’t for you, simply remove it from Assistant Settings. To view or delete the audio clips you record during Voice Match setup, go to activity.google.com.”</string>
Notably, devices associated with Google Assistant like smart speakers that are shared by multiple users already have match integrated. This means that when the Google Assistant recognizes a certain voice, it will show results associated with that particular account like calendars, reminders, notes, calls, and many more.
