We are right at the start of CES 2020 which is the first and one of the biggest tech show events of the year. This means that we are going to see a lot of concept phones as well as launches from different companies. However, we also see that the huge brands have decided to stay away from the CES event. We are talking about the likes of Apple, Google and Microsoft which are almost non-existent at the CES traditionally. Having said that, it becomes a great show for other companies to also showcase their products since the major brands tend to dominate the headlines for the rest of the year.
As far as brands are concerned, we should also note that Samsung is going to be present at this year’s CES which means we are likely to see some product announcements from them. One of the announcements or even a concept we are waiting to see is Samsung’s next foldable device. Samsung is known to release a new version of the Galaxy Fold later this year and we might see it alongside the Galaxy S11 series as well.
Now, folks at LetsGoDigital have tried to imagine what the Galaxy Fold 2 could look like based on the rumours, renders as well as leaked reports of the device from various sources. One report we do know about the Galaxy Fold 2 says that it might be a clamshell device like the Motorola Razr. And there is enough evidence to suggest that Samsung might go this route with the next Galaxy Fold since its first Galaxy Fold with a tablet-like design was successful but criticized for its massive size. According to the renders, Galaxy Fold 2 might have a punch-hole camera with a foldable display while the hinge might be reworked so that it becomes sturdier.
